Digital Measures 2016 Highlights

Growing to Fuel Innovation

Digital Measures turned 17 in 2016. We grew our team by more than 40 percent, onboarding staff in every area of the business and priming Digital Measures to accomplish more than ever. We finish 2016 with more than 60 DMers focused on developing innovative features and solutions to ensure our university clients get the most out of their Activity Insight implementation.

Building Our Next Home

We’re bursting at the seams of our current office space, so in August we broke ground on our new 21,000 square foot office in Milwaukee’s Third Ward, our neighborhood since inception. We won’t be moving far—just across the parking lot. Expect to visit our new digs when you attend our 2017 User Group gathering, October 8-10.

Biggest User Group Ever

Speaking of User Group, we had our biggest conference ever in October, with more than 100 universities representing 39 states, Germany, Qatar and the UK attending. User Group featured Fast Track training to obtain Activity Insight Administrator Certification, previews of the newest Activity Insight features, and client presentations on topics including best practices in data visualization and new approaches in understanding and measuring the impact of faculty’s work. In addition, New York Times bestselling author Jeffrey Selingo gave the keynote address and we enjoyed a memorable “off-campus” behind-the-scenes tour of Miller Park, home to Major League Baseball’s Milwaukee Brewers.

New Features for Activity Insight

We invested significant time in 2016 in conversations with our clients. These conversations formed the foundation of the work we did this year and our roadmap for 2017. In 2016, we rolled out new features and functionality to make Activity Insight an ever-more useful source of reporting for universities. A completely new user interface, an expanded range of publication sources to make it even easier for faculty to import their information, reports targeted to additional accrediting bodies, data fields and screens for medical disciplines, and much more. Our engineering teams are hard at work on game-changing features for 2017—stay tuned for more news!

It’s a privilege to serve the university community—we exist to enable you to tell the story of your faculty’s great achievements and value you as clients. Thanks for making 2016 a year of growth and discovery for Digital Measures. We look forward to an exciting 2017!
