Client Customizations Inspire AACSB Reporting Innovations

Client Customizations Inspire AACSB Reporting Innovations

Complex faculty activity reporting (FAR) challenges require smart customizations to your FAR solution. Customization is part of the Activity Insight promise because it’s critical to achieving success for your university’s particular data collection and reporting requirements. It’s also an opportunity for Digital Measures to identify common needs and create best of breed reporting to meet them. That’s how we developed our suite of Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation reports for Activity Insight, including the newest addition, the AACSB Required Fields Audit Report.

Our first three AACSB reports draw on the faculty activity data in your system to populate tables 2-1, 15-1 and 15-2. The new AACSB Required Fields Audit Report surfaces missing faculty data so they can be included in your tables. This allows you to completely and accurately represent your faculty’s qualifications and accomplishments.

Collaboration with Clients

“When dozens of clients built custom reports specifically designed to test the completeness of their AACSB tables, we knew we had an opportunity to create a tool for everyone,” said Kirby Fitch, Digital Measures Product Manager. “The Required Fields Audit Report will help any business school improve the completeness and accuracy of the data in their AACSB tables.”

Fitch, along with Digital Measures colleagues Andrew Wiech, Senior Engagement Consultant, and Derek Fetting, Developer, comprised the team that created this new report. A critical step in the building new reports is collaboration and input from clients was  working with clients. The College of Business and Economics at Longwood University and the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship at Nova Southeastern University were an important part of this latest endeavor.

“Their feedback was invaluable as we crafted this report,” Fitch said. “It also led to one of the report’s most innovative features, an embedded link to easily email a faculty member with data missing from AACSB-related fields. A dean or chair can very quickly reach out to faculty so data can be updated and included in final reporting.”

Thanks to the many AACSB schools who use Activity Insight—you inspire us!
